The 169th edition of the Nation Song Contest will be held in Solentoya for the first time following its victory in NSC 168.
Waiting Iist of Shelley & Nici, Luxona and Lost Islands withdrew permanently, allowing Jemmuise, Svobodnia and Arirang to make their debuts. Aclaira, Comino, Uferbruht, Noizeland and Orangualia withdrew for this edition, while Aimulli, Blackmere, Meilutya, Perryfornia, Ujedinjeni Gvozd, Vedatistan and Zombira all returned.
Aimulli got its second victory with the song "Ivan, Boris et moi". Rounding out the rest of the top 6 were Kordavian Islands, Roseland, Ujedinjeni Gvozd, Vedatistan and Svobodnia.
