SOL TV
Sol TV (Solentoya Television) is the public service broadcaster for the whole of Solentoya. It’s headquarters are situated in Nightbridge broadcasting House in San Luciana, the capital of Solentoya. Although there are sub offices based in cities such as Alasanti. It’s one of the oldest public service broadcasters in the world as well as one of the largest with a large national network of employees, as well as globally. There is an estimated 32,042 members of staff including those working part-time or on flexible contracts.
Sol TV was established under a Royal Charter and operates under its Agreement with the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Its work is funded principally by an annual television licence fee which is charged to all Solentoyan households, companies, and organisations using any type of equipment to receive or record live television broadcasts and iPlayer catch-up. The fee is set by the Solentoyan Government, agreed by Parliament, and used to fund Sol TVs radio, TV, and online services covering the nations and regions of Solentoya. Since 1 April 2014, it has also funded the Sol TV Worldwide, which broadcasts in 28 languages and provides comprehensive TV, radio, and online services.
NATIONAL CHANNELS
The National channels give a range of programming specific to certain demographics or topics, these channels are available to Solentoyans only, although areas close to the border in Halito, MatiMati & Balearica Island are able to pick up some programming.

International broadcasting of Sol TV is received in 15 other countries, although national channels are able to be picked up in the neighbouring countries of MatiMati, Halito & Balearica Island by some areas close to the border.
